PB&J Sliders (Peanut Buttter, Bacon & Jalapeno)

A unique twist on your classic PB&J sandwich!  Don’t let the title fool you.

Cook Time: 12 minutes
Serves: 12 sliders

Meal Types: Appetizer, Main Dish

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds 80% ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 jalapeno, deveined and chopped
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 6 pre-cooked slices bacon
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 head of lettuce

Directions:

  1. In a bowl mix the beef, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, jalapeno and cheese.  Create patties with about 1/3 cup of meat.  Make a thumbprint indention in the top and place in a skillet over medium heat.  Cook 5-6 minutes per side.
  2. Spread a couple of teaspoons of peanut butter on the top portion of the slider.  Layer the slider with bun, lettuce, meat, bacon, tomato, jalapeno and top bun.

**Tip- You can omit the extra jalapenos on the slider if serving to kids.
